Those following Living Art news will
note that it has
been awhile since last reporting the news from my
studio, a lapse that I assure you has not been
deliberate.
Likewise my conscious decision of a few years ago
to withdraw from the mainstream art scene should
not
be construed as a sign of retirement!
Allowing for personal
dissatisfaction associated with
art galleries, art shows, art groups, and their
related
politics, my election to 'regroup' felt
warranted. Though
I have garned recognition, success, and
fulfillment as
a fine artist for at least thirty nine years, I
welcomed an
opportunity to step back and assess how best to
proceed with my Living Art. The effort to do so
has
proved rewarding.
After quiet contemplation during my
self-proclaimed
'mini sabbatical,' I now emerge with a better
understanding
of who I am and what I need to do. A new vision
for my art
has surfaced along with a new direction. As my
artistic
experience evolves, it is defining itself not
only in detail
but also in the broader sense. New stirrings in
my studio
tell me that better times and opportunities for
this artist
are coming. A new, expanded studio is in view,
one that
will afford me the freedom to express myself on a
scale
that heretofore I have not known. Furthermore, a
museum
to house and display my life paintings, drawings,
and art
projects is on the horizon. Dreams of many years
are coming true. Suffice to say, it is an
exhilirating time for
this artist!
Allowing for these developments,
updates to this
website are in progress. Since these updates will
no
doubt be limited and sporadic, I encourage you to
visit
the LIVING
Art Museum that was
launched over a
year ago. Here you will learn more about the
artist.
Expansion of this virtual museum is coming soon,
complete with new exhibits and personal 'art
history.'
Currently most galleries on this website are
closed for
renovation. As these exhibits are updated, they
will
reopen for your viewing pleasure. Stay tuned for
details.
As I step into this new creative
experience, I do so with
renewed vigor. My current studio, though outgrown
long
ago, is yet a welcomed place of retreat and
inspiration.
New paintings are happily coming off of the easel
as my
Living Art continues on.
Thank you for joining me in this new
dimension of
creativity as I discover greater excellence in
art and
beyond.
